Noncommutativity from spectral flow

چکیده

We investigate the transition from second to first order systems. This transforms configuration space into phase space and hence introduces noncommutativity in the former. Quantum mechanically, the transition may be described in terms of spectral flow. Gaps in the energy or mass spectrum may become large which effectively truncates the available state space. Using both operator and path integral languages we explicitly discuss examples in quantum mechanics, (lightfront) quantum field theory and string theory. Generalized Space-time Noncommutative Inflation

We study the noncommutative inflation with a time-dependent noncommutativity between space and time. From the numerical analysis of power law inflation, there are clues that the CMB spectrum indicates a nonconstant noncommutative inflation. Then we extend our treatment to the inflation models with more general noncommutativity and find that the scalar perturbation power spectrum depends sensiti...

Noncommutativity and the lightfront

We discuss various limits which transform configuration space into phase space, with emphasis on those related to lightfront field theory, and show that they are unified by spectral flow. Examples include quantising in ‘almost lightfront’ coordinates and the appearance of lightlike noncommutativity from a strong background laser field. We compare this with the limit of a strong magnetic field, ...

Spectral noncommutative geometry and quantization: a simple example

The idea that the geometric structure of physical spacetime could be noncommutative exists in different versions. In some of versions, the noncommutativity of geometry is viewed as a direct effect of quantum mechanics, which disappears in the limit in which we consider processes involving actions much larger than the Planck constant [1]. In the noncommutative geometry approach of Connes et. al....

Analysis of Flow of Nanofluid through a Porous Channel with Expanding or Contracting Walls using Chebychev Spectral Collocation Method

In this work, we applied Chebychev spectral collocation method to analyze the unsteady two-dimensional flow of nanofluid in a porous channel through expanding or contracting walls with large injection or suction. The solutions are used to study the effects of various parameters on the flow of the nanofluid in the porous channel. From the analysis, It was established that increase in expansion r...

On Time-Space Noncommutativity for Transition Processes and Noncommutative Symmetries

We explore the consequences of time-space noncommutativity in the quantum mechanics of atoms and molecules, focusing on the Moyal plane with just time-space noncommutativity ([x̂μ, x̂ν ] = iθμν , θ0i ≡/ 0, θij = 0). Space rotations and parity are not automorphisms of this algebra and are not symmetries of quantum physics. Still, the spectral degeneracies of a time-independent Hamiltonian due to s...
